Awesome Race! I think over 1000 people participated in the Susan G. Komen 5k race, which is freakin awesome! This is the 3rd road race I've ever run and I'm pretty happy about it. I had some pretty good competition with Jason Pyles, Matt Bradford, and a few others. Also, I'm happy I broke 16 again, even though I felt really slow during the race. I didn't feel like I had much speed until I started noticing Pyles coming back, then I took off after him. I was kinda wanting a faster time but after looking back through the past 11 years only 3 guys have broken 16 at Susan G Komen and they were David Muccolan (not spelled right) Jason Pyles, and now me! :) I praise God that he blessed me with the opportunity to run today and to help support Breast Cancer Awareness and research.

You might have felt slow but you ran very strong especially considering the less then ideal conditions! Like I was telling you before, you will be knocking on the door of sub 25 for 8K and sub 15 for 5K next year at MU! Down the road your wiliness to put in the volume is going to set you up nice for the longer road races one day!

I look forward to some summer training with you!

Yea, less than ideal conditions for sure. I hope so, I hope me and a lot of the MU guys will start getting serious and start training/racing to our fullest potential which I do believe is sub 25 and sub 15. For sure, I love high volume, I hope it makes me strong this fall. Yea for sure, I'm going to try to plan my summer run schedule and try to pick out days when to run with you guys, then days to run with the MU guys, and then days to run with the Hurricane guys. It should be an awesome summer!
