Notes

25 degrees with wind chill of 18, which made it pretty freaking cold. Even sported a hat and two pairs of gloves. Goal was sub 14:45, 9:30, 4:30. I was pretty nervous about this workout since things haven't been going well and was hoping for a good session.

4800m: 4:56, 4:56, 4:53. Normally, I start too hard and go through in 70-71 the first lap but went through in 74. I was stuck in that zone and even debated switching to 5:00 pace, but made myself try to stay on pace. Started feeling betterin the middle and was able to close pretty well.

3200m: 4:44, 4:46. Was thinking this was going to be very tough but go out quick in 70. Got a little lazy for a lap or two after the first 1600m before picking it up a little towards the end.

1600m: 67.XX, 2:14.XX, 3:23.XX. Was scared of this one but felt good through the first lap. Once I saw 2:14, I thought I had it in the bag and didn't realize I ran a 69 third lap. Stayed focused the last 300m and picked it up some the final 100m, which gave me some slightly wobbly quads but was pissed when I saw 4:31.

Didn't beat any of my times but not a bad session after Sunday morning. Legs felt loose and light, I just didn't have any power. I ran my cooldown at 7:03 pace, which shows it wasn't too hard on my body. If I didn't get sick two weeks ago, I would have liked to run this session sub 14:30, 9:20, 4:25, so I have a little work to do.

Mary's mom has pneumonia and she had the same exact symptoms as I did when I was sick (off-on fever, low 02 saturation, coughing up crap, really high heart rate). It makes me wonder if that's what I had. She went to the same express clinic as I did and we both didn't get x-rays but she got hers diagnosed at the hospital when it wasn't getting better.
