1st mile=Koko was about a second behind me. Felt pretty good and it was mostly uphill
2nd mile=saw the gap increased a bit
3rd mile=started getting a big gap. The pace was still a little too fast (wanted to run 5:10), so I backed off a hair.
4th mile= There was a big uphill, followed by a 180 turn and gave you the downhill back.
5th mile=long, gradual that wore me out some. Slowed down rather than fight.
6th mile=it was getting hot out and just wanted to be done.
Felt pretty controlled and I definitely could have done this for a solo half in these conditions.
