Dick Garvey was a good man. He was a retired teacher & football coach. He worked part-time at my store. He passed away last Thursday. A sudden massive heart attack. He was 80. He didn't die in a hospital bed. Minutes before he passed he was at the Town Hall laughing it up with ladies in the town offices. A short time later his pickup truck was found at the side of Prospect St. Dick was slumped over at the wheel. Dead. I'll miss talking sports & politics with him. He had a good life.
