Nice, solid confidence booster for the last long run before the marathon in 2 weeks. Little chilly (low 20s) but ended up being a beautiful sunny morning. Met a few guys early to take a look at the south part of the marathon course, then met the group for a trip around the lake. Took most of the run at an easy effort (just under 8:00) and then laid down a hard effort for the last few miles (7:09 avg). I wanted to remember what running on tired legs feels like. Recovery and reduction of miles on the agenda here on out.
