4 miles easy before meeting the Ship. I didn't want to do 8:15/8:30 with the rest of them so I bounce around trying to catch up to the front group (too fast) but faster than the 8:00 pace group. Finally caught up to the front group and played rabbit/hare with Mike/Paul/Rich/Nick. Legs never felt good - hips stiff as hell but decided to keep an honest effort anyway and that is just the way they feel during high mileage weeks.
It worked - ended up being a great run - worked hard for it but finished strong - just kept the knees high and the legs turning over. Will be the first 70 mile week in ages.
