Late night with the Astros in the World Series but had this 30k on the calendar so I decided to drive down to San Marcos and register day of. Perfect weather - upper 30s/lower 40s, very little wind. It was a 4 loop course over rolling hills. A few short technical parts but overall very runnable. Kept it very easy for 3 loops and tried to hammer the 4th. Felt good - the glutes/hips were always barking but able to put down a good effort. I think I ended up passing 4 people on the last loop and endedup 6th overall.
