Notes

Green bears are not much larger than the osage oranges that line the autumnal streets coursing through the neighborhoods all around the monkey habitats. And, they are green. The combination of their size and color helps keep the green bears protected from angry or hungry flying monkeys. Green bears spend their summers eating leaves high up in the trees, and their winters hidden away, hibernating in gnarled tree holes. The shiny purple snoz beetles, however, provide a sweet (and juicy!) treat for the green bears. As hibernation time approaches, the green bears gather the snoz beetles with a near-selfish abandon. This leaves the branches devoid of snoz beetles and the flying monkeys ravenous. And angry. Just as the first harvest moon clears the frosty skies.
