Dom told me about this open 5k on the track 1st nequa so decided to jump in. Didn't know what to expect so showed up and found out the nequa boys were tempoing 5:20 pace so figured I would just go with them. Gun went off and some Calvin alumni noob took off. Went with him and went through the 400 in 72, went through 800 in 2:30. Pulled up next to him and asked what he was trying to run and he told me sun 16. Say behind him for the mile at 5:10. Kept that pace the next 2 laps leading figuring I would help him out. Once he dropped I just gradually picked it up. I think the next mile was 5:02. Closed the last mile in 4:48. Felt smooth the entire time and was just overall a fun time.
