North Shore 1/2. 2nd. Debut. Went into this with the main goal of bringing home some ca$h money. Found out that Miscari was gonna be there so figured that the W was well out of reach. Went out in what felt conservative (downhill first mile 5:1X) and was in 4th by a bit. Around mile 3/4 passed the guy in third and he didnt respond. Then around 6.5 moved into 2nd and then ran alone from there. There was a biker lady with me once i moved into 2nd so there was that. Ended up running pretty even splits the whole time and it felt like a tempo type effort until mile 11. From 11 to the end was a grind up mostly just in the legs. Hilly course with one big uphill and some rolling guys the whole time. Perfect weather. Said I would be happy with a sub 70 so got that and a $750 pay day so mucho bueno.
