the epitome of cross country
standing on the start line under an overcast sky with rain falling and wind blowing. last race of the day so there was lots of mud sloshing. the kind of race where you throw times out the window because you are running through mud pits on a cross country course but ends up being very fun. ran by the old bear cages and around the grass & trail course. pretty small race but i found people to pace with and moved up throughout the race. really solid day i went out there and had a good time!
