Notes

First run since Sunday and knees were complaining... esp R side. Seemed to lessen up after 2-3 miles. Rail trail was nice to run back on... soft. Met Greg C on way back. He always looks so smooth and effortless as he runs! Was very sore when I got to the high school meeting at 6:15. Knees were screaming. Likely the 1 hour intense spinning class last night aggravated them. Oh Well.... this is a taper right?

I agree with Greg. (Of course, I do!) I say take the rest you need, Dave. Don't go into Maine Coast with pain if you can help it. I would even say don't run Maine Coast if you are injured. You'll only aggravate it and set yourself back. That said, I hope you run it and the rest of the tight schedule of races you have planned. Good luck!
