10 mile tempo @ 7:53 w/ 3 mile warm-up and cool down
Crazy place on Friday at Y when I got there. 5 Million people in lobby for swim meet. Almost turned around and left. The weather outside sucked so I was stuck on TM for 13 miles. Brought two bottles of water. Started with two miles at 8:49 pace and then upped the TM to 7.6 for next ten miles. Varied elevation for variety and also sped up to 7.9 mph occasionally. Some R hernia pain? Who knows. TM was so boring. I guess if you can do 21K on TM you are more mentally toughing yourself for the marathon! Saw Noel having a good run of ten miles, and Jimbo spraying sweat all over his TM!
