Notes
Vermont City - Lesson learn... I went out way too fast and could not hold a steady 7:55 pace (my goal). I was worried about hills and wanted some time i n the bank for later in the race. Needless to say 1st was great second half I paid the price of being overly ambitious. Nailed BQ no problem, but NYC Qualifier just squeeked in with 25 seconds to go. I wonder what would have happened on a flat course?
I did 4 e-Gels at 5 mile intervals. That stuff worked great with no stomach upset. Learned a good trick for drinking water and took water at almost every stop. No gatorade. Legs felt good after race. minimal cramping... mostly calves.
Mileage on watch was off by .2 miles. Entered official mileage and time in to log.
