I put off writing this log for almost a year. Partly due to the disappointment of not besting my best Boston. This was a long hard training season to get here, but heck I'm a few years older. This is the first time I ran a marathon with music. Used it to help with motivation, but won't do it again as I disconnected from the energy of the crowds. You can't hear them cheering you on if you have music on. The plan, and experience told me to take the first 6 slower than you feel you should. Give the legs time to warm up and don't trash the quads. Kept cadence high through here (90) and lean forward to stay more on forefoot.
