Glad it's over. Wanted to do at least 8's, hoped for 7:50's. Hills were just too much today. Had to walk twice for about a minute on the hills... first time that ever happened. That's what too much TM does to you! Was a bit bummed with my performance. Mile 11 and 12 took a huge bite out of time. At 10 mile split I was at 7:46 pace,but dropped to a 9:11 pace for mile 12...
I reviewed field stats by importing the sheet from CR and importing it into Excel. CR didn't have the age group numbers or places. I'm happy that of the 50-59 yr old males I came in 13th out of 63! Of those 63, only 29 were in the 55 to 59 age bracket - I would have placed 5th in my age bracket had they done 5 year intervals... OK I'm feeling a little better!!
Turns out the guy who came in 4th in this new age group was the guy who beat me by 1 place in White Mountain Half.
Interesting to look at overall ranking as the race went on dropped from 173 place at 5 mile to 196 by 16 miles.
