Sugarloaf Marathon. Hottest run in the last 19 years for this race and I can agree. What was supposed to be a VERY fast race ended up frying runners in the last 6 miles...83 at the finish! Sun in the face, no shade. Felt pretty good and on pace for a sub 3:30 until I hit the last quarter of the race. JUst couldnt make the old legs go any faster. Started in control and held back. Glad I did. Ended up seeing Mark Rix around mile 12, Tom Miller around 14 and Doug and Rob around 20. Happy in that I BQ'd, barely...,but wish it had been a PR. One could say it was a PR for age 58!
