Not the best workout. Felt ok warming up. Left ankle maybe a slight bit better than yesterday, right foot still painful on top. I don't think tying my shoes tighter today helped. Started the tempo a little slow; I could feel my legs were heavy from the start despite feeling pretty relaxed the first couple of kms. When I tried to inject some pace the time just wasn't coming down as much as I would have liked. Hit the turnaround still feeling ok but coming back up the hill really hit my legs. By 6km I felt like I was dragging and just wanted to get the workout over with. Didn't have a problem finishing but definitely pushed it a bit in the last mile and was more exhausted than after the 10K tempo last month.

I did have some DOMs today but I think it was more a general fatigue of the muscles that held me back. Cadence was 190 compared to 195 last month, stride length was actually 1.31 vs. 1.30. Conditions were pretty good, wind from the south so it was more like a crosswind the whole way. Bonked pretty bad coming home as I just had no energy. After my whole left leg just doesn't feel right from the ankle to the upper calf and even lower hamstring. I think I am doing a lot of compensation for the ankle. Just didn't have it today I guess for a number of reasons.
