Bit hungover today and body was just plain achy. Again started off too hot and never really completely settled in. There was some wind *mostly a headwind on way back) and humidity and by turnaround I could feel the heat getting to me. Normally it is a little cooler by the lake but today just felt really hot and by 4k my legs were feeling really heavy. Tried to maintain control through the end and I did finish without going nuts but it I was completely knackered at the end. For some reason today felt hotter than last week despite what the temperature says. Cool down seemed to go ok though.
