Notes

6x1k, goal was something around 5k pace (3:50). Wanted to start off a bit conservatively, low 3:50's and work way down. Weather was just about ideal, little wind, maybe a bit of headwind on even reps. I probably dressed too warm. First rep legs were feeling a bit heavy but by the 2nd rep I was OK. Was looking at my watch for first 5 reps to make sure I was below 3:55 but didn't want to really dip below 3:48. Last rep I just went for it without looking at watch but I obviously started too slow. Finished fast but was too late. Average for the reps was 3:51.2.

Overall I'm pleased. Took the rests slow and didn't tie up at all. Was able to maintain form and didn't really feel like I was at my limit until the last 200m of last rep. Breathing was pretty controlled the whole time. Was definitely the "easiest" of my 1K workouts with 90 second rest but it was also quite a bit slower than some of the others.

Front of left knee was bothering me this morning but didn't feel it running. DOMS mostly gone but right adductor and hip flexors feeling sore during cool down.
