Ran a loop around Corktown Common, starts at top of Zucchini, down and then up the steep little hill back to Zucchini. Ran this 10 times, alternating between a fast one and a recovery one. Was pretty pleased with how it went considering I haven't done top end speed in a while. Maxed out the last 2 reps. Felt like I did pretty good running the downhill and didn't suffer too much on the uphill part despite there being some headwind coming uphill.
The loop measures out to about 775m. Averaged 2:48.3 for the reps for an average pace of 3:37/km. Recoveries were pretty relaxed and pace a bit more brisk than usual due to their length. By the end my legs were definitely starting to get heavy. Am actually pretty shocked how fast the reps were as I was hoping for something more in the 3:45 range.
