Sun was hot with dew point around 17. Not stifling but was still sweating from warm up despite running it very slow with L. There was some headwind on the way back. Felt like I started off more conservatively than in past weeks and was able to pick it up a bit in the 2nd K. I started to get a bit tired and breathing started to get more into tempo breathing by turnaround but was still relatively comfortable as by now I usually slack off the pace a bit.
By 4th km it was getting real hard as I think the heat was getting to me - just having problems getting my legs to maintain pace and this continued until about 400m left when I was able to find something extra. Finished the tempo completely knackered; it was weird how quickly the fatigue came on.
