Goal was to do an 8K tempo at a reduced effort. I wanted it to emphasize the comfortable part and save my harder efforts for the gym and speed workouts or races. Had a lot of DOMs from yesterday, mostly around hips and in glutes. Right groin was a little shaky starting off but eventually warmed up. Knee was doing ok. Weather was great with only some wind from the north and along the final stretch on Unwin. Started off very relaxed and was barely tempo breathing by the time I hit the turnaround. Picked up the pace a bit coming back but by 6.5K I was into full on tempo breathing and could feel my legs tiring. Still felt comfortable but the last 1.5K did involve putting in some work. Felt pretty good on the way home so I know the run didn't take too much out of me, definitely the most relaxed I have felt for an 8K tempo.
