Short workout today just to get some speed in. Did the same workout the week of Longboat 5K last September. Back then I averaged 3:34.8 and today I averaged 3:37.3 so happy with the results. There was quite a bit of wind today from the south-west so I decided to do the workout in Tommy Thompson. This way the first 3 reps would be into the wind.

I felt a little sluggish at the start, and just wasn't that motivated in general today. I felt like I was working pretty hard to hit the paces but at the same time the paces were pretty solid. The 2nd 800 was easier than the first due to the tailwind and allowed me to finish the last 2 reps without maxing out. I felt a bit uncoordinated overall (left leg dragging a bit) especially with the tailwind - I'm not really sure how I could have run the 400's faster even if I allowed myself to max out. Rests were also on the fast side.
