Plan was to do 4x1600, wanted to average around 3:50 but had decided to go out a little faster and just see if I could hold on. Had some DOMs from yesterday, quads felt especially crampy. Weather was good although it was breezy, seemed like a lot of cross breezes throughout. First rep felt somewhat hard yet still comfortable but I knew I wouldn't be able to hold the pace for 3 more reps. Was more conservative on the 2nd rep, still didn't exit tempo breathing but I could feel my legs starting to turn to jelly by the end. Was really working hard on maintaining form and getting my legs turned over as quickly as possible. Third rep I really pushed the last 400m as breathing accelerated and this led me to problems getting into a rhythm on the last rep. The second 400m of the final rep was especially tough as I just couldn't get my legs moving. Pretty much the last 800m was accelerated breathing and just giving it everything I had.

Pleased with how I finished workout as at some points it looked like I would just death march to over 4:00 pace. Also not bad considering the 4 days off with left SI joint. SI joint was tight after but is recovering ok in evening.
