Set 1

Plan was to do 3 sets of 600m/400m/200m with a jogging 200m rest in between reps and a walking 400m rest in between sets. Both walking rests ended up being 5:22 long. Conditions were pretty good, some wind on track but not too bad.

Had a lot of DOMs (upper hamstring and adductors) so wasn't feeling too sprightly today. Achilles seems to be getting a bit better but was still sore warming up and at certain points during the workout. The workout took quite a bit out of me as cool down after was quite tiring. Tried to run as much as I could in the middle of the track and felt that I was pretty steady for each set despite what Garmin measured.

The first set was quite tough and I could feel by the start of the second set that lactic was already beginning to build up. So I was quite pleased to see that my times for the second set were pretty much the same as the first. The third 600 felt a lot slower despite breathing being accelerated pretty much from 200m. I really tried hard to kick it in fast the last 200m of the 400m rep and was happy to see the time was respectable. For the last 200m I really focused hard on generating as much power as I could and turning my legs over as fast as I could despite feeling breathless. Was surprised to see my body respond so well as I was also able to maintain form and run hard through the finish. Ended up being my fastest 200m so a good way to end the workout.
