Did the Corktown loop 4 times (alternating clockwise and counter) at something like 8k-10k pace with about 400m recovery in between. Took my own splits as GPS can get pretty wonky around here. Glad I did as GPS ended up being all over the place measuring the loop anywhere from 2.03-2.12kms. There was some wind from the east and south which made the beginning of each loop a little tougher. Finished each rep pretty strong and recovered ok, only maxing out the second half of the final rep. Lower back on left side was a little tight but otherwise I felt pretty good.
The loop measures 2.06km so times adjusted for 2km were 7:36.4, 7:36.5, 7:36.6, and 7:39.9
Average adjusted for 2km was 7:37.4 or 3:48.7/km pace.
This was actually a lot better workout than I was expecting as I believe I've only once before averaged under 3:50/km pace and that was right after Ottawa. The rests were a little longer and slower today though.
