Notes

An interesting workout as work time and rest were the same as last week, only difference being the variable lengths of the reps. Plan was to do 10 reps but I knew I was in trouble after the 3rd. Managed to hang on strong to at least finish 8 as the last 2 were really tough. Conditions were definitely not ideal as it was sunny along Lakeshore. There was some humidity but I don't think dew point was higher than 13 or 14. Wind was from the west so I had to work much harder on the even reps, especially the first 200m or so. The 6th rep really took a lot out of me as legs were feeling pretty dead by the 7th rep. Gave it everything on the last 2 reps so at least pleased to see the last rep as the fastest. Wore my Zoom Streaks, didn't feel bad although Achilles was a little tight after. Today's pace was 3:40.9 vs 3:40.5 last week. I want to say I am in similar shape to early spring but still haven't hit my peak shape of late spring as getting pace consistently under 3:40 is too difficult at this point.

Legs still had some DOMs and were definitely a little heavy from the high volume the last 3 days. Right hip is getting better though and didn't bother me during the workout.

Averaged 2:56.7 (3:40.9) pace compared to 3:02.8 (3:48.6) last October and 3:02.9 (3:48.7) last November.
