Miracle Miles 15k - Orlando
Another hot and humid race. I entered this racing hoping to set at PR (current 1:06). I thought that I had a chance if the weather cooperated but it didn’t. I scraped my plan to stay at a 7 minute pace and just went by feel trying to press it a little. I was holding a 7:15 pace for the first few miles but after mile 4 I was beat. After that I just tried to hold a marathon pace (8:00) which I did for the most part. I was a little discouraged with my time but I know this isn’t an indication of my marathon shape. If the temps stay down in Hartford I know that I’ll have a good race there.
