Notes

Let's talk about the new year/decade.

I don't have any actual resolutions, I just want to keep building on what I've already achieved. I sat down earlier and mapped out my goals for the year and how I'm going to achieve them. I'm really looking forward to 2020.

To paraphrase two quotes from Drake: I'm only 31 and I'm only getting better and I like who I'm becoming.

It's weird in a way, even though I'm older than the rest of the team I legit feel like I'm only now getting started, not just in running but in my career too. When I was in my early-to-mid 20s I used to fret a lot that other people were figuring themselves out and I hadn't yet, but the older I get, the more I realize, we all bloom at our own paces, you know?

It's gonna be a good year, and we're all going to kill it together. Me, you, everybody.

I hate new year's resolutions. They almost always fail and I think its stupid to wait for a magical day to change something. So I appreciate your not resolutiony resolution; look forward to training w/ you for track!

I agree Julia, if someone really wants to change/improve they'll just get on with it rather than wait for a day/excuse to do it
