I read an article in the NYT this morning about the growing homeless problem in California (the state alone has a quarter of the nation's total homeless population). One of the pictures featured a couple who live together in a 50 year old RV that leaks and has exposed electrical wiring. In the background of the pic are messages they've written to each other, like "You are wonderful" and "Today is a great day"
