My 4th El Scorcho 50K and my slowest, despite comforting breezes late in the race. 88° at the start but with reversed loops, the breezes felt good late causing no real difficulty finishing, perhaps because of the early slow pace. Planned to run first 25 miles slow and then finish last 6 at <9:00/mi didn't work out, although last few miles really weren't that bad. Cranky left ankle and sore lower back mostly behaved.
