EXTREMELY PLEASED with this result and finishing 2 minutes faster than same course and distance 2 weeks ago despite warmer, more humid conditions and time on the trails yesterday; much better pace management by focusing on lap pace and overall average pace instead of current pace, which (unfortunately) just works better for my on-again-off-again style of running
Strava: "Took over 2 minutes off my results from 10M #1 despite 2 hours on the trails yesterday and conditions 20° warmer than last time.
Instead of focusing on current pace -- which is practically worthless for my style of running -- I paid attention to lap pace and overall average pace instead. That allowed me to even out my pacing early and still have something left for a faster finish.
Hopefully I can apply these lessons in my future races"
