Surprisingly perfect weather for this marathon; race was delayed an hour due to storms in the area, but by 7 am start time, rain had stopped and temps were unseasonably cool (64°) but windy. Strong headwind during first (mostly uphill) 4 miles, but once down near the river and on the return, wind had died down or was a tailwind. Goal was for a sub4 and I got it fairly easily due to favorable weather. Good splits throughout; thought about shooting for a sub-3:50 but settled down at Mile 22 or 23 and "coasted" in for the sub4. 55th annual running of this event AND my 55th marathon or ultra.
