Chip time splits were 8:05, 7:48, 7:50, :50. It's not like I would have run a good time even if the first mile was not an obstacle course, but it really did cost me, especially in such a short race. In any case I'm glad I didn't quit after that first mile even though the thoughts were there. It turned out to be a really nice morning and I'm sure the effort did me some good.
Ken ran a solid 19:15 as prep for next week's HM.
