"5 x 3-min moderately steep hill" from schedule: (3:05, 3:08, 3:04, 2:57, 2:45) starting at corner of Grossmont Dr and Whitman Way.

I'd run this several times in the past but it's been a while. I vaguely remembered it taking me around 2:30 to make it to the top then and probably closer to 3 min now. Knowing that this is a steep hill (no moderate) by my standards my goal was just to make it from bottom to top without walking--no worry about knee lift or any of that staff--that can come later.

I decided to just run to top and check my time then rather than keep looking at watch until 3 minutes was up. Should serve the purpose that workout was designed for.

It really is a killer hill that I had to walk down in snake pattern although I'm sure you dare devils could fly down.

That's Grossmont Drive and Whitman Way if you ever want to give it a test. It would be the perfect hill for the old 1-3-1-3-1 workout from back in the day in Phoenix with coach Fred Moore's group. That's 1 long, 3 short, 1 long. 3 short, 1 long. This hill has 3 tiers, with last one the longest and steepest. There's a very short level off after each tier.
