Strip; tuneup for 5k on the track:

More of a time trial than tempo. Ran out to 1600 mark, then walked back 200 meters for start of intended 5k. Effort felt comfortable for more than a mile, but once I started to tire the deterioration progressed rapidly. My goal became to make it to the return 1600 and call it workout.

first 200 was 1:03, then 8:18, 8:16 for the 1600's. If there had been another 1600 it would have been much slower.

rested a few minutes before final 1600 back to start in 9:13.
