About me: I've run on and off for the past three years. The "off" part of running has been due to injuries, not a lack of desire to put in miles. For the past three months, I've been doing heavy weight training with squats and deadlifts, healing my injured knees with strength; and I think I'm ready to begin building up mileage again. My idealogy about fitness has changed, but my motivation to run, and find peace within myself through my running still persists. |
Why do I run: I run because I want to be a better runner. I enjoy watching my dedication pay off. |
Why I started running: I started running as a weight loss aid; but the second the miles got easier - I realized that I was born to run, which was news to me, since I had never been athletic before. |
