Notes

7 mile run with 5X(2 min on / 2 min off) fartlek. The fartlek workout was slower than usual, although today I ran on the Tinley Bike path, so I had to cross more streets, and stopped more often. I also ran at night, so it was a little harder. An update to my injury status, good news is that I am not having any more hip/groin pain that I kept mentioning during the first week, so that is good. Bad news is that my left achilles is starting to develop pain during the run, especially in the beginning. This is nothing new to me; I remember running for literally a month and a half on achilles pain last summer, and each day I was thinking I could potentially be injured, and may need to take some time off. But I made it though only missing a few days, and literally the first week back to school, the pain went away. So I think it's really just a matter of waiting to develop muscle in these weaker areas, and it seems that my hips, kness, and achilles have been the limiting factor for me in the past few years.

Try rolling out your calves for your Achilles. If your calves are tight, they will pull on your Achilles’ tendon causing discomfort.
