Notes

Ran the 800 at our meet today. I'm not super happy about my time, but I'll take this experience and try to grow from it. I hope once we get on a good track and I put some spikes on that I might run a better time and maybe break my PR of 2:18. I definitely like the mile better, because it doesn't start as fast. Before our race, we did a 2-mile warm-up, which we just ran in the halls. Once we ran our race, we did our 10 strides, I wanted to get started with our 45-minute run right away, but nobody else wanted to go right then, so I ended up just waiting for them. We ended up starting our run a bit later than I would have liked, but we still managed to get it in. Once we finished, we did our abs and hips. I'm just going to move on from today and keep up my training, I know that if I just keep doing the workouts and trust my training my times will reflect the work that I've put in. Next week, I look forward to our Homewood Flossmoor meet, I've heard that they have a pretty good track, and maybe there I can walk away with a PR :)
