Seems this happens all the time. Almost took the day off (out of laziness), but once I got out the door I had a strong run. Didn't have any specific goal pace, just decided to run hard. 1st rep was relaxed. 2nd rep felt harder but I was pleasantly surprised by the time so I figured I would see if I could keep up that pace for the 3rd and 4th. Nice and smooth on the 4th rep, which is the uphill and usually my slowest. Tossed in a quick half mile at the end just for fun. Considered extending it and trying to break 5:00 but decided not to push that hard.
This pace seems reasonable for 5k, assuming I do a decent warmup and don't blow the first mile.
