Notes
Leg 35 of RTBMA.
Started at Dartmouth HS and finished at Demarest state park near the coast.
My quads were done for this one. I was able to find a reasonable pace but my effort gradually increased as I fought to maintain the pace. Scenery was nice but I didn't fully enjoy it since I was pushing hard and hoping the end would be around the corner.
Overall 38.96mi in 4:16:57 (6:36/mi)
Good race. We came in 3rd overall and 3rd in the ultra class. I didn't run as fast as last time but I actually did pretty well given my recent training. Our team overall was more well rounded and we finished at a faster pace than the last ultra. Everyone always says "never again" at the end of an ultra, but we all seem to forget the pain when it is time to sign up for the next one...
