Notes
Holy Hills Batman! I was totally not expecting that. Between miles 9 and 10 there was a significant elevation gain that caused major problems. In addition to the extremely crazy hills late in this weather was terrible...Slight misting rain with a temp of about 75 degrees and 100% humidity. Other then on the crazy hills i held a really good pace right about where I wanted to be at 8:30 per mile. Unfortunately there was no way I was going to be able to maintain that up these hills. This would have been great training for ragnar. At least now I know where I can go to get some long hill workouts.
I am reasonably happy with this race. I think if It had been normal weather conditions for this time in October I could have PR'd this course even though it was signifcantly more difficult then the Philly Half Marathon course. Gotta find a few more halfs to do between now and next September so I can really look at beating that PR at the same Philly course.
Finished in the top 15% (86 out of 555) and in the top 25% of Men. Not to bad but I definitely have a better race in me. Excited to keep looking for that Half PR.
