Did 2x15 second strides to warm up. Good solo workout at the high school. I wasn't sure if I'd be feeling up to it just two days after the race, but it went well. I wasn't sure what I was going to do at the start, but I wanted to try a 400 and see how it went. I did the first one at a respectable pace, then felt good and took a moderate rest before starting the next one. I realized I needed more rest in between, so I started taking 2 minutes. I managed to negative split the last one and come out with a better time, and feeling better, so I was under control on the 400s. Then I jumped into some quick 200s (for me at this point) and got into a groove, feeling very relaxed and just knocking them out. The track speed is coming back boi! I'm super happy with this session and know I'm getting in very good shape. I want to do a mile time trial before I attempt my 5k PR. Good stuff coming if I can stay healthy.
