ran 2.96 miles in slightly over 7 minute pace - my achilles and calves on both legs were really tight towards the end but I know that it is because I pushed on those hills. I stretched afterwards but I did not ice... let's see what happens.

UPDATE: I am still fairly tight today - nothing I can't still run through but something I must be weary of in the next couple of days. I have mild but distinct soreness in my kneecap right in the front of it - I think the mildness is a great sign but I still need to ice after my runs. Hopefully this isn't one of those things where my knee gets progressively more sore day after day.
