Went for a 5am long run - twas good! I was cruising around 7:45 to 8min pace the whole time except for the last mile where I brought it down to 6:51 pace just to know that I could. I would have hoped to have had a faster overall pace but at this point I think it is more prudent to go for time on my feet over other considerations. Averaged 8:03 per mile including 3 water stops!

This run more than others of past I made sure to drink more water - 16oz or so for the first two stops, then 10oz on the 3rd. I ate two gels and had two electrolyte tablets during this time as well to make sure that my body was learning how to take in food/liquid on the move. My plan worked well! No cramping, a little general fatigue but that was about it. No lower back tightness either!? - not sure how I dodged that bullet...
