Very happy with this workout!! Ran on the rail trail and Steve biked with me. I felt great and it definitely helped to not start out too quick (and to run on pretty flat road). It was a bit windy/rainy, particularly on the way back. Some of the other people on the path cheered for me!
I think the gel in middle helped a lot. Need to keep doing that. The workout was:
2 miles easy
40 min marathon
5 min tempo
20 min marathon
5 min tempo
10 min marathon
2 miles easy
marathon = 6:11-6:23
tempo = 5:45-5:55
