Decided to try to squeeze in the workout tonight so that I will have 3 days (and 4 nights) rest before the race. I've also been a little hyped up about the race and thought it will help be an outlet for some excess energy! Very pleased with this workout. Did not feel like like I was pressing but it was a good effort. It's definitely easier to run faster in the afternoon. The only issue was my stomach was bothering me in the last 2.5 miles, but it wasn't so bad that I thought it really interfered. I was really happy that I kept a good pace on the hills at the end- up the golf course hill for the last .75 I was at 6:21 pace which I thought was pretty good!

The workout was:

2 miles easy (about 16min)

40 minutes tempo (about 6.75 miles: 5:56 avg, 5:50-6:21 range)

2.4ish miles easy
