I would say that I am fairly happy with this overall. Could I have been a little bit faster an maybe taken a swing at PB? Probably, but my main goal was to insure that I was ahead of JVD. So, instead of making a hard move to catch PB, i just maintained to make sure that I could respond if JVD came up on me.

Lined up a little off the line because I still don't want to be that guy. Got out fairly comfortably and was with JVD -- shoulder to shoulder. Probably around 1200 in, I looked at my watch and saw that we were slower than I wanted. Didn't have eyes on PB, but new I had to get on it a little bit if I wanted to run a time. I hesitated for a bit because I wondered if I should stay with JVD, but decided to stay on it.

Happy with the mile split and saw PB up ahead. Seemed like he was out of reach, but I just tried to make sure I was on it. Just picking them up and putting them down. Also saw Kyle up ahead. At this point, just trying to latch onto anyone ahead of me and be aggressive. VERY worried about JVD though...

Caught Kyle just past the 2 mile mark and told he to come on. Looked up at PB -- seemed like I was closing the gap, but not sure. Tried to manage my effort but really felt like I was on the redline and was fearful of either Kyle of JVD getting me at the end. Shut up and run.

Not much else to say the rest of the way. Just focused on turnover and trying to work the tangents.

Chip time shown for overall. PB got me by 4 seconds chip time and 6 seconds gun time. JVD was 12 seconds back chip time 14 seconds gun time.

What, took your foot off the gas after passing Kyle??

Saving something in case JVD was lurking back there. He likes to outkick me in the last 200 meters...
