I really gotta learn to suck it up and run in the heat. Yeah, it was brutal, but the weather was the same for everyone.
Was fairly happy with the race through around 2 miles. Brian and I were working together and JVD was right there. Brian was a little ahead in spots, but I kept surging to remain in contact. As we got near the 2 mile mark, I could see JVD, Billig and a few others in my age group ahead of me. I thought I was about 40 meters or so back and did my best to push and get in touch. Unfortunately, I think this ended up biting me in the but. They maintained the lead on me and then I ended up being passed by a couple of guys in the last 300. UGH!
Time to get my mojo back!!!
